Kestrel was seventeen and had hair the color of old gold sweeping back from her face like a bird's wings. Her eyes were amber and hawk like, and she was never gentle but looked at the car through narrow, heavy-lashed amber eyes.
The one with dark golden hair. Her skin was milky instead of blossomy, and her eyes were yellow.
Everything about Kestrel made her think of savage, primal movement. The girl walked as if she were flying.
